Development Agency of Lemesos LTD with distinctive title ANELEM LTD, was originally founded on 21 October 2005, by eleven (11) Communities of the Kouris-Xylourikos Valley area for the design and implementation of the LEADER Program. Since then, the company expanded significantly. Today, the company is owned by 75 shareholders, including communities, public and private organisations.

The main purpose of Development Agency of Lemesos LTD, is the development of the wider rural area of Limassol District by contributing to the utilization, development, management, maintenance and protection of natural and cultural resources, the introduction of innovation and entrepreneurship in the productive system, the introduction and expansion of the use of renewable energy sources and the support and improvement of new collective structures and social development. In addition to the above, our company is also responsible for the Administration and Accounting support of the Organization of Integrated Waste Management Facilities Limassol.

The organisation was established by the Ministers’ Council for managing and processing the urban Mixed Household Waste of Limassol Province. Moreover, Development Agency of Lemesos has more than 15 years of experience in implementing various National and European Programs and achieved to absorb more than EUR20mln from EU funding for its shareholders and clients. Our company employs a number of business consultants, with high expertise for the submission of applications/proposals in the implementation of projects. We have an excellent track record in respect of successful applications to various European programmes, as each employee specialises in specific EU funding opportunities.
